Hello everyone.

First of all; I am Casper Smit, the son of Willem Smit, the artist.
Because my father don't know his way around with computers, he therefore asked me to "manage" this website. You might find it a shame that you are not in direct contact with the artist, but in retrospective I think it turned out for the best.
My father is more into making art rather than talking about it. So I must say; I had second thoughts about exposing his work on DeviantArt. After uploading "Bolide" and "Hardtop" I hadn't been logged-in since now... (sorry my bad)
I'm extremely surprised to see it disturbed so many people...
In one hand I'm glad to see it inspired many people. And I want to thank all those who commented on the works or added it to their favorites. At the other hand I'm also a bit shocked. I'm aware this is a place for deviant artists, but is that someone who's acting devious or creating deviations? Let there be space for people who are different, so they can be. My father is not really interested in reaching a DailyDeviation, only in showing his work to family and friends and every one else. Don't get me wrong; I'm not trying to shuff all the attention aside, but sometimes looking at an Artwork is enough. Do not always try to "capture" it in words.
oh! Another thing; I'm not going to explain the content of the paintings, but to all who noticed; its indeed not Mature(its changed now)...I'm sorry, again my bad. It's new for me around here aswell.
